Street Carnival

Down by the pier last weekend they had a street fair going. It was so odd. Just appeared overnight. The rides seemed questionable. But yes I did ride them. If you will please notice on the pirate ship ride the cages... They just threw people in there, no seat belts, no handles or anything. 7 year olds were flying around in there like... well i don't really have an odd expression that doesn't make sense to finish that sentence... but it was really 3rd world-y...

Oh I totally got a cotton candy the size of my body there... Yes I ate the whole thing, Yes I had a sugar high for like 6 hours, Yes I had the worst stomach ache of my life... but would I do it again? Absolutely. Oh cotton candy, you hurt so good...

Oh and I totally saw someone get demolished on the bumper cars. Best thing about no regulations and safety laws on rides... bumper cars get really extreme. This grown woman literally went FLYING out of the car.

Metro

The metro is the most fascinating place in the world. And by far the best place to people watch... On random days I just ride it for hours watching these insane people. Where are they in real life? I don't know, they only seem to appear on the metro...

Today I saw a man wearing a bright orange hunting vest. I wonder if he knows we can see him without it on?

The metro is the only place where I can sit next to an accordion player not once, not twice but three times (different dudes) for longer then 8 metro stops. I am not amused. Whoever is sending these malicious musical attacks on my being will pay...

Where do you even learn to PLAY the accordion anymore? And why, dear god WHY do they seem to flourish in Barcelona... I want to punch someone every time I see them give coins to this. You are financing that sound?! Why would you encourage that... stop. It's not funny anymore.

The metro is also the only time I've seen "West Side Story" style battling being attempted seriously. It was a couple of gay street gangs... People kept asking "por que?!" I had to explain in my best Spanish Prada was having a 50% off sale... What a waste... The amount of blood spilt each year over sale week is staggering. When will we ever learn?

Monday

Monday was the craziest day.

I had a photoshoot at an airport which was SO COOL. Everyone working was just awesome, both makeup artists, the models, the photographer and the stylist...

The stylist is a personal stylist for Lady Gaga... Did all the costumes for the music video "Bad Romance" Plus so many appearance outfits, if she is every wearing a crazy hat you can be garunteed he made it. Very cool... So I can't wait to see the photos.

The photographer was so funny because he stayed up all night the day before making tons and tons of sandwiches. He brought about 50... for 7 people. HA. I was apparently the only one who found it funny that he had piles of sandwiches all over...

And he kept trying to get us to eat them. We'd take a photo and he would say "AMAZING, that deserves a sandwich" or "You guys hungry? We had lots of sandwiches" SO I had about 4 sandwiches that day in addition to bringing them home.

Also I moved into my new FLAT on Monday! It's really cool. The kitchen is totally renovated as well as the bathroom... brand new hardwood floors everywhere and HUGE windows. I even have granite countertops... Pictures will be posted soon as well as my Madrid Trip.

I have no internet but I have been picking up some free internet from WebSTAR so thanks a million to you... whoever you are, apparently a STAR of the web.

I'm going to go to the gym now with my new Swedish friend Angelica. Super cool.

Oh and yesterday I went to my friend Beth's boyfriend's step-dad's house... (was that grammatically correct? ) for dinner and to watch the futbol match. It was CRAZY! So good, the food was amazing and I found my dream house... SO beautiful... Marble fireplaces, terrace with Lilacs, swimming pool... Old hardwood floors and beautiful oil paintings everywhere... the style of the house was italian-tuscan themed wine house... Their words not mine...

Sick :(

I'm sick... ugh.

I guess no more licking metro door handles for me.

Bummer.

Good Eats: Juicy Jones

This is this super hippy place that offers a variety of different dishes but specializes in these Uber healthy and wonderful smoothies. I was taken here by my friend Beth and the place is super cool the moment you step in from the graffitied ceilings to the crayoned menus...

My favorite items on the menu are the Banana Go Go as well as the Super Kryptonite (as pictured). You might think it sounds weird but it's amazingly delicious and made from avocado and pistachios. SLurp. Closest thing I can think of to the taste is a vanilla milkshake.... Believe me I did the icky face when Beth offered me it at first but now I'm hooked...

Prices around 4 euros...

Good Eats: Panino Giusto

This place is simply put, out of this world. They are an Italian sandwich shop that actually started in BCN but gained so much popularity they opened 25 in Italy... That's a ton in a span of like 10 years.

These sandwiches are SO good, you can't stop at one... They have a great waitstaff, very small and family run... They have a variety of pasta dishes that are also delightful... and these great little ice creams they serve with coffee... Literally everything they have there is delicious... including the waiter that looks like Tom Cruise. Yum.

Rosa :)

This is a picture of Rosa right before bed, she is constant cold so she always wears hats lol.

She also makes me chicken fingers with fries because she thinks that's the only food that Americans eat... That's red pepper on my plate... Looks questionable in the picture...
